Another day is leaving,
this time it made me ill.
I have been hit by a bout
of cold, cough and weakness.
This is a message to me from
Nature, you're not invincible.
Life is about accepting, not
achieving, remember this.
Live, love, rise, fall, stagnate,
but, don't you stop being 'you'.

Another day walks out,
this time it has asked me
to give company to it and
walk with it into the sunset.
It reminded me of the days
when you'd walk with me on
the seashore, gazing at the
sun as it dived into the sea.

Another day sneaks in,
covered in blankets.
It sings miseries of past,
in a heavy baritone.
The melody jars through
my ears, waking me up
from my dreamy present
where stars descend to
greet my lonely nights.

Another day catches me and
pulls me back as I walk away,
from it, patting away the dirt
that glues itself to my clothes.
Like how the past clings to me,
in poems, letters and pictures
strewn all around my heart,
like leaves strewn on benches,
on pleasant autumn evenings,
when hearts lament parting.

Another day has come,
it tiptoes into my home.
I watch it with the excitable
impatience of a little kid,
observing its every step,
hopping, skipping beside it.
Yet, within, I know, its time
to strap on the boots and
walk a little to my dream.

Another day came to me,
this time wearing a fur coat.
I asked him why he got that?
He told me that he came from
a place, draped in snow carpets.
I wondered why he still wore it.
I was about to ask him why,
when he told me that it snowed
in his bubble, which I can't see.
That's when I learnt that each
person has a different world,
what works for me, cannot
ever work for them at all.

Another day slipped away,
I held moments in my palm,
fragile little babies they are,
nurtured by my thoughts,
they turn into rowdy teens,
creating fuss intermittently.

Another day leaves,
with a message that says:
all that you have changes,
you should be ready.

Find for yourself an art,
in which you leave for
novices, the art of carving
distractions into masterpieces.

Another day made its mark
with imagery so raw, so stark,
I stand here, hidden in dark,
catch me, before I lose all spark.

A vision keeps coming at night,
where I can see not one light,
you stand out as a star bright,
guiding me back to my delight.

Oh, how serene you do look,
flowing hair like a forest brook,
your beauty I cannot overlook,
I can write on you an entire book.

Another day of lockdown,
the empty roads will speak
of the love carried by texts,
across the locked nation.
The chirping birds will
spill the beans of the
couple that hid itself
under the tree they
found their home on.
A couple that now,
cannot meet, until,
the lockdown breaks.
