thereby bringing glory and honor

हिदायतें दी लोगों ने इश्क की...
पर ये न जाने कहां भेज दिया।
यहां तो कोई अपना ना लगा,
गैरों के शहर में क्या से क्या हो गया।
बड़ी इल्तिज़ा थी हम को शहर नया बनाने की..
यह रात गुजरी हिज्र में, ख्वाबों का मनाज़िर टूट गया।
इश्क निभाने हम चले कुछ परायो के वास्ते,
अपनों का घर छूट गया यह इश्क निभाते।
हिदायतो में बड़ी निगाहे थी हमारी,
जिस दिन इश्क़ अंधा हुआ...
उसे भूल जाने की ख्वाइश थी हमारी।
शहर नया तो मिल गया इश्क़ में,
पर शायद वो गलती थी हमारी।
