Eludes,
when you desperately crave.
Imposes,
when you struggle to avoid.

Some cages are forcefully imposed.

मै कैसे कहूं...वो क्या है मेरे लिए!

मेरे बुरे अतीत को भुलाकर मुझे आज में जिसने जीना सिखाया,
मेरी हर कमी को स्वीकार कर,जिसने मुझे दुनिया में सबसे ख़ूबसूरत बताया,
लड़खड़ाए जब भी क़दम मेरे,उसने बैसाखी नहीं,अपना हाथ थमाया,
लोग कहते हैं मैं छोड़ दूं उसे? ये मेरे जीवन में कैसा समय आया!

मेरी इक आवाज़ पर मैंने हमेशा जिसे अपने पास पाया,
मेरी तबियत ख़राब होने पर, जिसने ख़ुदको रात- रात जगाया,
मेरे उससे रूठ जाने पर, उसने मुझे हफ़्ते-हफ़्ते भर मनाया,
लोग कहते हैं मैं छोड़ दूं उसे? इस संसार की ये कैसी हैं माया!

इतना पागल है वो... कि एग्जाम के डर से रोता देख,उसने मुझे ख़ुद पढ़ाया,
मै रात भर पढ़ती रहीं, मेरे साथ चिंता में वो भी सो न पाया!
सारी खुशियां देकर,मेरे हर ग़म पर उसने पहरा लगाया,
लोग कहते हैं मैं छोड़ दूं उसे?ये कहते वक़्त उनका मन ना घबराया?

जब भी लगी धूप मुझे,सामने खड़ा हो गया वो, बनके मेरा साया,
लड़ जाता है सबसे,मेरे लिए,इतनी हिम्मत पता नहीं वो कहां से लाया,
इस क़दर वो अपना है मेरा, कैसे कर दूं उसे मै,तुम्हारे लिए पराया?
लोग कहते हैं मैं छोड़ दूं उसे? जिसने दिल से नहीं...अपनी रूह से मुझे अपनाया!

She was accused..
Of what she'd never done,
Coz he had imposed his assumption..
On her,
Based on his so called experience.
That turned an innocent woman to.. character less person,
And the society too believed it,
After all he was of superior gender..
None less than himself Almighty.
