Koi tha kabhi jo dil ke bahut kareeb tha jisse aaj yaari tut gayi,
Fir ek ek krke baat krne ki aadat chutt gayi,
Ek waqt tha jb hum din bhar gappe ladaaya karte thee,
Ab dheere dheere unse milne ki baatein krne ki bekaari bhi chutt gayi.

Mohabbat dikhaunga nahi par dil se nibhaunga mein,
Tumhaari khushion ke mehfil mein na sahi par gum mein hamesha saath rahunga mein,
To kya hua aaj humaari baatein nhi hoti, hum milte nahi hai;
Lekin jb bhi dil se bulaaogi tumhaari parchai bankar saath dunga mein.
