August taught me, august to be,
In fading summer,
The ripening colors to see.
Mellow taste of apples,
And paddy's harvest hues
Make things wiser
Out of the blues.

Golden days grow shorter,
Tamed is the Sun's hauteur;
To mature, we also need to let go,
Out of autumns new Springs too grow.
Seasons change
But faith in fruitfulness stays the same.

The dull silver Moon,
Across the Night sky floats;
Over the twinkling stars,
It so much gloats.
August taught me grace
In the fullness of the empty space.

In each transition, we see
Many a yield and yearn discern.
