बढ़ चला आगे मेरा देश
भूल गया उस नन्हीं असिफा की चीखे,
दामिनी के आँसू ,निर्भया की पुकार
और अबला का दर्द ।

उनके गुन्हेगारो को बचाके
आगे बढ़ चला मेरा देश
कुछ और अपराध करने ,
अभी तो शायद कुछ
और दुष्कर्म बाकी है होने
या शायद कुछ और बेटीयों
को दहेज के लिए जलाना बाकी होगा ।

अब बस भी कर तू , इज्जत कर उस जन्नी की ,
बख्श दे उसे और सजा दे उसके अपराधी को,
उनको बचाके तू खुद गुनाह ना कर ।
