हममें जीवन भर जाती है

In a sea of fake people
Their fakeness impinging in my being
Shards and pieces
Cutting me open
And the world tells me to smile
Calls my tears a hassle, a melodrama

The world tags my realness as being weak
The world tags fakeness as strength

And a gateway to a million chores

I dream of love
All candyflosses and sunshine
Flamboyant and giggly
The dew drops and sparkling eyes
Melodious hums and merry waltzes
Everything that eludes me when I'm awake

I dream of holding on to that kind of feeling
The hopeless romance
The grins and pecks
An impossible utopia
Of an everlasting rainbow

I dream of somehow staying true
To the child-like fantasy
Of everything innocent and simple
Of being loved and loving everyone
The idea of a comfortable, cosy corner
On the chest of a loved one
Where I can crawl and be huddled
Like a cocoon
Dreaming of becoming a butterfly
Dreaming of everything that is, love.
