একটা ঠান্ডা সকাল হঠাৎ আমার ছেলেবেলার গল্প বলে গেল কানেকানে,
বলে গেল, তুমি ছিলে আমার মেঘবালিকা...
তুমি গান গেয়েছ সাম্যের.....
তুমি বেঁধেছ সুর ব্যক্তিস্বাধীনতার.....
তুমি স্বপ্ন দেখেছ নতুন সমাজ গড়ার।

আমার সেই শৈশব যেন কোনো অজানা শহুরে মাদকতায় বিলীন আজ,
সেকি আমার লজ্জা, না ভিড়ে মিশে যাওয়ার প্রবণতা ?
আজও যখন অন্যায় দেখলে ভিতরের আগুনটা জ্বলে ওঠে দুপ করে
অন্তরাত্মা ঠুকরে চলে আমার সুখে থাকার ব্যর্থ প্রয়াসকে
তখন এরকমই কোনো বাদলা সকাল আমায় জাগায়, আবার পাগল করে দেয় আমার সচেতনতাকে।

আবার একটা নতুন বছর আসে, মধ্যরাতে জেগে থাকে আমার শহর
মাদকতায় স্বাগত জানায় নতুন একটা দিন...
সেই নতুন দিনে আমিও থাকব মেতে সুখস্বপ্নের আশায়
দিন যাবে, রাত যাবে
আবার একলা রাস্তায়, ট্রেনের কামরায় লুন্ঠিত হবে মায়ের লজ্জা

আবার এরকমই কোনো সকাল আমায় বলবে
তুমি স্বপ্ন দেখেছিলে সাম্যের
তুমি সুর বেঁধেছিলে ব্যক্তিস্বাধীনতার
তুমি গান লিখেছিলে নতুন সমাজ গড়ার
আর আমি মিশে যাব, আত্মকেন্দ্রিকতার চোরাবালিতে.....
আমি মিলে যাব সময়ের স্রোতে, ভিড়ের মাঝে একটা নাম হয়ে
শুধু বুকের ভিতর জ্বলতে থাকবে ছারখার করা এই দাবানল।
