लिखने को बहुत कुछ है आज कागज़ पर
कहां से शुरू करू लिखना इस कागज़ पर
स्याही कलम सब तैयार है लिखने को कागज़ पर
भूल गया पर मैं शायद
कलम सिर्फ ज़रिया है लिखने का
अक्सर दिल लिखा करता है कागज़ पर। ..

भरोसा करता था जिसपर
मैं खुदसे ज्यादा
तोड़कर कर दिया उसने
यह दिल आधा...
होगी अहमियत लफ्ज़ों की मेरी
ऐसा मुझको लगता था
शायद मैं उसको कुछ खास माना करता था
और वो शायद सिर्फ कहा करता था...

Whom I know since class four ,
Wishing her all sorts of happiness
On turning twenty four ....

We hardly have pictures 
In which we shared a pose ...
Year on year ,
This friendship has gradually rose...

We share almost everything
Nothing remains clandestine...
Our conversation never ended 
Without being on cloud nine...

The way we tease , the way we prank 
I don't share the same bond with any ...
You have been my bestfriend,
In the midst of many ...

रोज़ रोज़ लिखने का भी
नही है कोई रिवाज़
कुछ नहीं है लिखने को
सोचा यही लिख दू आज ।।

कहने को बहुत कुछ है
पर है बाकी आज शब्द नही
किसी को कुछ बताने को
आज तो है शब्द नही
है लोग लाखों दुनिया में
जिनको तुम्हारी कद्र नहीं
लगेंगे प्रश्न चिन्ह तुम पर
भले हो कोई स्वार्थ नहीं
क्यूं समझाना है आखिर उसको
जिसपर बातों का अर्थात् नही
अपना वक्त समझ कर देना
करना उसको तुम व्यर्थ नहीं
जो समझ पाए समझाना उसको
वरना बातों का अर्थ नही
कहने को बहुत कुछ है
पर शायर पर है लफ्ज़ नहीं
