"I think part of the issue is people assuming that everyone MUST want to move upwards. Like... it's the next logical step for a person to want to move up the chain: from worker to manager, to district manager, eventually owner.
But I always think of growth like plants.
Aspens grow tall to reach the sun, for sure. But dandelions grow deep, understanding themselves fully so that if some misguided fool tries to uproot them they'd have to try damn hard. And then there's thyme and other creeping plants, which spread themselves out so much that if you chop a part of it off it roots wherever it can find dirt to root in.

"one of the biggest things i believe to be true about relationships is that you must make it feel safe for the people you love to call you out on shit. like obviously don't let anyone emotionally manipulate or terrorize you but in general, in healthy adult relationships, there is always a pattern of rupture/repair, someone does something (unintentionally!) that makes someone else feel not great, and it needs to be addressed. the best thing you can do to preserve and improve your interpersonal relationships is to be open to these conversations. you have to be able to hear how your words or actions have affected someone, even if it absolutely wasn't your intention, and you have to be able to simply acknowledge and apologize. it doesn't matter if you didn't see it that way. someone you love did, and they care enough to tell you, and that's a gift. be grateful for the opportunity to do better."

Sometimes life makes us meet someone
who gives us the feeling of eternity. Within a blink we can see the next 30-40 years with them.
We tend to think that we have finally found everything we have ever wished for.
Sometimes when things go wrong, life gifts us someone who will keep us from drowning. Someone who will lift us up and motivate us to fight harder for our dreams, and all we wish for.
In that moment is for them to stay by our side forever.
We meet them when we are at our lowest and lose them when we are at our peak.

Not everyone we meet is meant to travel with us until the end. Some just stumble into our life to help us reach the finish line.

Everyone we meet has a purpose.

Our fates might be entangled but they are not always meant to hold us together.

And the truth is the love we wish for is not always the love that is meant for us...
