I look back and wonder -
Why did I wait so long?
Why did I let them mistreat me?

I laugh, and also feel sad for that old self -
Too kind, too giving.

I know I lost
Tiny moments of joy,
Little sparks of happiness,
All buried in losing myself.

But now, I’m glad.
Glad that I made it through,
Igniting the flame of self-love
That warms me.

And now,
before anyone—before anything,
I choose me.

MOON AND I

Starring at him each night,
I smile and see myself,
Moving through the phases of
Light, dark and sometimes fading away.

Yet,
I resonate myself with life,
against the shadows
In between and around.

Like the Moon,
Shining with Sun's rays
I too glow,
With the warmth of hope.

She was once a quiet soul, letting others shape her path.
But courage bloomed within, and
Today, she stands tall, choosing herself above all.

Like a bloom that appears
Amid withered leaves,
Whispering tales of joy and tears,
Life finds its hue
Through the shadows and lights,
Always rising, always new

I stood in silence,
Gazing at the endless sky,
While the breeze whispers soft and slow.
A silent storm dwells in my heart,
With thoughts unspoken, tears withheld.
Yet,
I wait for that day
When I'll stand unshaken and proud,
Beyond these shadows past the dark.
For I know -
Like all the sundays, this too shall pass.

In peace, with a smile so bright.

Trusting your presence, near and far,
Holding me close, easing my fear.

My heart remains calm in your prayer,
I bow to you with love, forever.

Drifting through waters
That gently whisper,
