Saudade

In ashes of past,
In search of remnant,
Flickers of ashes fly,
Moon hardly visible,
Hazy horizon in dawn,
Burnt memories of old,
Saudade of the lovely one,
In a distance that glows,
In a pure white robe,
Glowing in distant land,
In deserts of holy land,
One day, ashes will fly,
In my garden of roses.

Those scars of yours,
Story of bruises, lacerations,
Of torture, pain, and agony,
Of healing with fibrous tissue,
A slow death every minute,
Locked, chained in a nest,
Touching them with care,
My scars of heart palpable,
Bleeding of it into itself,
Wound never visible to World,
That I carried with me,
Your scars and mine the same,
Kissing thy scars, fondling them,
My scars fade away to oblivion.

On her pilgrimage, she flies,
Long awaited desire fulfilled,
To land of holy saints,
Walked, lived on that soil.

Naked violence in that land,
Soaked in blood of brothers,
Evil in men in its full fury.

Spirits of Earth and heaven,
Protect her under your wings,
Pure, shy one needs your love,
I will await to see those eyes.

Ahes we left

Pent up molten lava,
Heat that it consumes,
Burns in spreading passion,
Warm skin congested in blood,
Agony and ecstasy mixed,
Dancing on the nerves.
One day, the flames extinguish,
Ashes of the Inferno flies,
Flakes of ashes cloud the sky,
Ashes that can no more burn,
Carrying messages of lava,
Fall upon the beautiful face,
On her curly, frothy hair,
Reminiscence of bygone days.

Free from clutches of hatred,
From thoughts of violence,
Deeds of snatching your land.
Oh dear, my soul awaits,
For you at the end of the world,
Liberate me from their clutches,
Carry me to the land of freedom,
Where I write poems for you,
My muse standing beside,
In the land of peace,
Where we sing and dance,
To tunes of the rivulet,
In ecstasy, we roam around.

When the world collapses,
Burdened with its own weight,
Inferno raising from ashes,
Vortex of sand storm engulfs,
Tsunami drowns half of earth,
Stand by me at that moment,
Holding my hand tight,
Sailing through storms in sea,
Will rest on your lap,
When silence reigns,
With my head between,
The mountains of peace.

On a starry dark night,
Walking alone in a path,
Meandering in a hilly terrain,
Moon sleeping in shades,
I saw you standing,
With flash lights around,
Singing hymns of bliss,
Strumming your guitar,
In a world of your own.
I will be dreaming of you,
When the moon goes down,
Fireflies lighten the sky,
With the perfume of Jasmine.

Makes her sit in his lap,
With her hands around his neck,
Looking to the rustic one,
For all the unknown knowledge,
He the omniscient of the universe,
The silent, static vehicle of truth,
Joyous in his world of aborigines,
Fondling the vibrant lovely one,
Answers all she longs to know,
Union of fountain of existence,
Merge in each other to shine.

How it once felt to dream
Spells of raw hallucinations,
Those years of my adolescence,
Lived in the world of dreams,
Meandering in fantasies,
Imaginations, illusions, delusions,
Visions beyond the real one.
How it once felt to dream,
All the passers by queried,
In the realm of my subconscious,
Lived in a world beyond senses,
Soothing to my nerves,
In her lap, I slept, dreamt,
Of far beyond the earth.

Waiting at your door since eons,
Ringing the doorbell for ages,
The shell you have installed,
Locked in the sanctum of shyness,
In a world of your own making,
Impervious walls of the castle.
Still, you can hear my heartbeat,
Echoes of my breaths in eardrum,
In silence of the valleys of love,
Where once you stepped in,
Creating ripples in silent ocean,
With movement of your eyes,
Embracing me in lascivious looks.
