With passing days and years, you realise its not about the materialistic stuffs that you demand from someone its just the simple gesture which can bring a smile or tears. To some expectations which were useless, to some desires which were never fulfilled , a heat which have learned to compromise, I guess that is what you call growing old.

Some memories of life don't have social media status update or an Insta selfie, what it has are those memorable moments of laughter and togetherness which can instantly bring a smile or a tear even after a decade....

Every chapter of your life teaches you a lesson, there will be chapters which you want to hold on for long and there will be chapters which you want to let go off. But you should always remember, the lessons you learned because that's what will help you to be stronger every day.

You know what's the best part of diary writing, it's a mixture of all feelings when you roll back a year and half back, you will find every line holds a memory, every word has its own emotions and every change is eventually reflected in the later pages. To one of those regular morning when you are hurrying down the stairs between 8:15 to 8:30AM and you suddenly come across the school kids, holding notebooks, who are busy in their last minute preparation waiting for their school bus.... Suddenly you realize it was just yesterday when you were one among them.......... Life was much simpler then.... It was not stuck in the 9:00 AM punch time or meeting deadlines rather it was the exam preparations, projects and the results ... Yes once we all wanted to be grown ups but once we reach that stage we miss those simple childhood days...

The status updates on whatsApp, facebook "pujo eshe gache" reminds you of your old time..... As the city dresses up in it's festive look, glittering with lights.... A homesick tries to find ways to cheer up the days of the festival in an unknown city.
