Why? Because I acted as it suited your mood and now the show’s end is near?
You suggest me to talk, to take it all out,

Insomniac nights, Apprehensive thoughts.
Twitchy eyes, Muffled sobs.
Frozen body, racing heart.
Tired souls, drifting apart!
Measly dreams, still denied.
Unkept promises, brutally lied.
Muted knots, gnawing pain.
Unseen bruises, broken chains.
Love invested, prices paid.
Emptiness remains, feelings fade!
Heat travelling from her stomach, reaching her cheeks, turning them red.
Unblinking gaze at the fan as she counts hundred to ten yet nothing helps to distract!
Well, the night comes with million feelings,
Some spoken aloud, some left unsaid!

I’m tired of letting my guard down again and again
How many times do I have to go through the same pain?
Now I’m too numb to cry
No matter how hard I try!
Still I come back running to you
Although I know you bid your feelings a long adieu
Perhaps my soul never wants to return
But a single word from you makes my heart open
I’m persistently chasing sleep
Like I’m stuck in a vicious circle dragooning me to be weak!

Irony

Isn’t it ironical how artists try to hide their identities and yet use hashtags to reach as many people as they can?

Isn’t it ironical how we have so many people around us but we still claim our pillow cases to be our best friends?

Isn’t it ironical how we are always said to trust the process but still get scolded if we fail?

Isn’t it ironical how we tell others that everything’s gonna be fine but ourselves find it difficult to follow the advice trail?

Isn’t it ironical how we try to save someone’s sinking ship when ours is no less than the Titanic?

Isn’t it ironical how we advise others to stay calm and all we could do in simplest of situations is panic?

Isn’t it ironical how some people end up being the poorest after being nothing but wealthy?

Isn’t it ironical how people need to experience your absence in order to learn the importance of your presence to keep your relationships healthy?

Isn’t it ironical how we are always suggested to eat healthy and yet it is something that sells expensive?

Isn’t it ironical how we count hundreds of our flaws but when we hear it from others we find it offensive?

Your question instantly makes me recall that very night!
When I was glaring at the stars sitting on that swing!
As you walked to me after you were done cycling!
The night was breezy
The grass fresh and green!
You sat beside me,
We started at eleven we talked up till three
And suddenly a stranger started feeling like family!
Everything fell right into place like it was destiny!
Isn’t it strange how our parents are best friends
But still we never met!
I guess god had a pretty meet cute
For us well set!
We bonded over songs,
We discussed movie themes,
And as we got deeper into the night
We talked over some serious life scenes!
Well we had a lot in common, debated over a few
Like discussing these unattended feelings was long overdue
Never earlier did I feel an affection so strong
And I constantly prayed for nothing to go wrong!
It’s been years and we still share the same bond,
I did fell in love with you at the first sight and will be loving you till infinity and beyond!
