The Present
It is so strenuous to not to think,
then placing your thoughts - placing your wild, stretching and cumbersome thoughts-
Into a neat, perfect box
And cover it with a shiny blue gift wrap
With moon and stars,
And then rope it with the ribbon
That she used to tie her hair with.
Then put a name plate and
Keep it under the Christmas tree
For anyone and everyone.
It is so strenuous
And meaningless.
And people call it art.

As I write this line
And try to rhyme.
Thinking that you'll read this
And know this is for you

The Bible of Non-believers
So with Christ's blood
I paint your carbon red,
Thou hateful followers of mirth
And all the wine that
You'll ever drink, shall be poison
As long as you walk the earth.

My lover's got the smell
Of sandalwood and burning essence

THE WIRE
I'm walking on a wire
A hundred feet and higher
To my right is reason
And to my left is a fire
And I'm walking on the wire
Like a vampire sired
Deserted and drier
I'm walking on the wire
But I'm tired.

Go Tomorrow
For everyday a mask I'll borrow
As long as you go tomorrow.

Dear Melancholy,
I was hit by a star
And I was shattered
And the pieces all lay yet calm
'Patience can wear
Off the pressure'
Is just another dogmatic alarm
