ಕಾರ್ಮೋಡದ ಕನಸು ಬಿದ್ದು ಕಂಗಾಲದಾಗ,
ಕರೆಯದೇ ಬಂದ ಕಂಬನಿಯು
ಕೆನ್ನೆಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿದು ಶ್ರೀರಕ್ಷೆಯ ಮುದ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು.

Pseudo culture followed her like a tail.

The subtle mornings paint my eyes,
I desire to wake up as a butterfly,
Winged and petaled in a warm cocoon,
without witnessing any cruel balloon.

I desire to be a mermaid harnessed,
Who can capture surreal gems and pearls,
Without getting trapped in a net murky,
Unleashing the powers of the ocean world.

Camouflaged in a shade of greenery,
I desire to be a tree within the scenery,
To give shade to blooming dandelions,
And wake up to oxygenate with violins.

I desire to be a good human in the crowd,
Who can help and devote his life humbly,
To let the fallen leaf stand up again,
And gather courage to inspire this world.

ನಾ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ಹೆಣ್ಣೇಂದು ಬದಿಗಿಟ್ಟು,
ನಂತರ ಅಪ್ಪುಗೆಯನೊಂದನಿಟ್ಟು,
ಎನ್ನ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಹೆತ್ತ ಮಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೆತ್ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನ ದೂರವಿರಿಸಿ,
ಜೀವನದ ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಇಂಚಿಂಚೂ ಅರ್ಥೈಸಿ,
ಆ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್ನ ಮೃದು ಪಾದವ ವರಟಾಗಿಸಿ,
ಗಂಡಿನಂತೆ ನಡೆವುದ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ದೈವ ನನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪ.

ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಕಷ್ಟವಾದರು,
ನನ್ನ ಖುಷಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೂಂ, ಹೂಂ ಎಂದುರು.
ಸೋತಾಗ ಹಠವಿಡಿಯುವುದ ಕಲಿಸಿ,
ಕೋಪ ಬಂದಾಗ ಸಹನೆಯ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿ,
ಜೀವನದ ರಂಗಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಟಕಗಳು ನಡೆದಾಗ‌
ಸೌಮ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವದನು ತೋರಿಸಿ,
ಎಲ್ಲರ ಏಳ್ಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಬಾಳಬೇಕೆಂಬುದನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು ನನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಾಜಿ.

ಎಲ್ಲರ ಚೋಟಾ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷಮೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಡಾ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳಿಗೆ
ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯೇ ಸರಿಯೆಂದೆಳಿ‌ ಬಾಳಲ್ಲದನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದರು.
ಮನೆಯ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳ
ವಹಿಸಿ ಮಗನಂತೆ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ನಿಭಾಯಿಸುವುದ
ಹೇಳಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಜೀವನದ ಗುರು ನನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪ.

ಈ ಶೆಟ್ರು ಗೌಡ್ರು ಸಂಭಂಧಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೆಂದು ಚಿರರುಣೀ ಅಪ್ಪಾಜಿ
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆರ್ಶೀವಾದವನ್ನೇ ಉಸಿರಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮ
ನಾಯಕತ್ವದಲ್ಲೇ ಜೀವನವೀಡೀ ನಡೆವಾಸೆ ನನ್ನದು.
