He frowned at her with heartless eyes,
unable to see through her disguise.
Only judging on her ugly form,
though she was weary and forlorn.
-
For her heart had truly closed over,
he begged for pity, but she grew colder.
It seemed that it was time to part,
although he loved her with all his heart .-
Was he a madman, was he insane?
George only had himself to blame.
Around in circles his mind did spin,
he begged hard but could not win.
-
Was he who he said he was?
Was he inventing a tale because,
he had some other strange plan.
Was he her Father? Who was this man?-
Once a long, long time ago
a child paced the floor to and fro.
Many questions plagued her head,
for the visitor filled her with dread…
-
Heavy hearted, the days did pass
as they both endured the aftermath.
Now there was a price to pay,
for she had stolen their child away.-
An empty nest, a lonely home
now they had no child to call their own.
The evil witch had not offered a pardon
when he stole spinach from her garden…
-
The wine was bland, not to his taste,
he gave it to his guests to avoid the waste.
Then he complained about choir,
and boasted about his own pretty attire.-
There was no one finer or prettier there,
he possessed the most glorious raven black hair!
Fabrizio strutted around the room,
yet moaned that people had arrived too soon…
-
For he had stolen from her garden,
only when caught, did he beg her pardon.
That sly, and calculated thief in the night,
and now she hated him with all her might.
