Her warrior was shot
in front of her eyes

दूरियों का मोल
चुका पाना मुश्किल है,
उम्र बीत जाती है
पर दूरियां कम नहीं होती।
दूरियों की कीमत
अदा करनी पड़ती है,
मिलने की इच्छा
दबानी भी पड़ती है।
फिर एक दिन ये दूरियां
चाह कर भी कम नहीं होती
हम मिलना भी चाहे तो
समय की रेत हाथ से फिसल चुकी होती है।

कभी कभी एक टुकड़ा बादल
पूरे सूरज को ढक लेता है
ठीक जैसे कोई एक दुख का साया
पूरे जीवन को नष्ट कर देता है।
