एकान्त निवास हो
न पाने की आस हो
ना खोने का भय हो
ना तन की लोलुपता हो
न वासना का वास हो
एक शान्त मन हो
एक अनन्त गगन हो
और उसमें विचरते

And raise your head to see
The snowy peaks looming not far,
Could be a woman's enthralling countenance, seated amidst greens,
The sunrays filtering down
Her golden hair, blinding
Your eyes with their soft beams !

Two beautiful roses would
Bloom to spread fragrance
When life was a still stream
And a dense dark had hidden
The rainbow hues of Sun beam

I never thought
Someone would see that
Words unspoken could unfold
The treasures of silence
And a forgotten past
Would come to life .

हैरान हूं , परेशान हूं
कि चढ़ूं किस रेल में!
उतर कर चढ़ूं या
चढ़ कर फिर उतरूं !
क्या खेलती रहूं ये खेल
ज़िन्दगी की इस भीड़ में?

चन्द अल्फाजों के दम से
लिख दें चलो आज
नाक़ाम हसरतों के राज़
दफन हैं सीने में कब से
शायद तुम मिले हो जब से।

जो कभी थामती थी
तूफानी समंदर में
नाव जीवन की,
थम सी गयी है
अंदर ही कहीं आज ,
चुप सी रहती है
बर्फीली चट्टानों सी ,
इन वादियों की
ठण्डी हवाओं में ,
आजकल की ये खामोशी ।
