महफूज़ रखा था दुनिया से दिल को,
अब मैं भी बेपरवाह हो गई।।

मुझे तस्वीरों में, किताबों में,
खतों में छिपाकर रखता है।
वो अपनी मोहब़्बत को,
दिल में दबाकर रखता हैै।

मेरे लिए रखे जज़्बातों को,
मुझसे ही बचाकर रखता है।
बस दोस्त कहकर भी,
खास हूँ ये जताकर रखता है।

सरफ़िरा मुझसे इज़हार,
तो कर पाता नहीं।
यारों तक को हाल-ए-दिल,
बताकर रखता हैै।।

कुछ निशाँ घावों के,
हर दफ़ा दिल पर चोट करते है।
कौन कहता है वक्त भर देता है हर घाव को
हर बार नाविक पार नहीं कर पाता,
मँझधार में फ़ँसी नाव को।।
