My heart once melted into her scars,
Filling up her perfect skin.
For I saw generations of mine with her.
A soul deep-rooted into my mind,
my next of kin.
I see flashes of her smiles now,
In fiery flares up above at night.
But they mean no harm to me anymore,
I think.
Some say I should erase her completely.
Well, I don't know, I just might.
But what about those raindrops,
Those heavenly seedlings that
turn tears into ash now?
What about that shimmer of hope
That she'll return, when I know for sure
that she's never coming back now?
These are the medleys that I write for
my symphony of sadness everyday.
For the feeling that I so desperately called love,
It's nothing but madness they say.

I looked at the moon and asked for happiness.
For light and no shadows,
For my life to no more be darklit.
The moon winked at me and granted me my wish.
Lit up the sky one last time
As the eclipse walked towards it.

Your fingers reaching out to those
sweet feelings,
fading away in a darker bliss.
You feel the frost against your lips,
almost tasting what you coldly crave for.
Your eyes dimming out,
Just when you start seeing everything differently.
And you never want to wake up alone again.

Badi atrangi si cheez hai ye pyaar bhi.
Yu ki kehte sab kuch labo se hai,
Par baatei aakhon se hoti hai.

If I could wrap time around my fingers,
And look into your eyes when you smile.
The clock would stop ticking and everything stood still,
I could just be myself for a while.
No one on the streets when we wandered,
It'll be just you and me.
Right when I saw you being happier than ever,
And finally started believing in destiny.
For I had never imagined
A soul so pure and calm,
To take me by bliss showing me what love is,
And forever hold my arm.
Now that I am nothing less than I'll ever want to be,
I've rid myself of all my shells.
For never had I imagined to feel so alive,
Living my life through someone else.

Ye kahaani jo hui tujhpe khatam aaj,
Na jaane kaun iski shuruwaat hai.
Tere zehen mei likhta koi aur jahaa,
Vahaa mere khayaalo mei sirf teri hi baat hai.

You'll feel real love one day.
It won't exactly be a fairytale,
but it's not going to be a nightmare either.

Playing with your hair,
Knowing you'll stay.
Holding your hand for just another day.
Looking at your face,
Thinking you're a gem.
Thinking we're better than the rest of them.
Holding you up close,
Staring into your eyes.
When your lips take me by surprise.
And now it's been years,
Since the last time.
Since a poet's words used to rhyme.

She was just another human like me,
In this alien world.
She searched for herself over distances abstract, while I found myself in her.
She took ages to create spells which hypnotised every stranger into being careful,
but I walked through them as if they didn't even exist and were merely wounds which healed but left scars.
An alien world indeed.
And I know that it's not small.
In fact I'd want it to be as big as possible to explore,
with her hand in mine.

Raat ko har sadak yaha jaise jung ka maidaan hai,
Betiyo ke liye yaha bete hi haiwaan hai.
Ek taraf kahi koi nayi jaan aaj bhi aane nahi deta iss duniya mei,
Toh ek taraf na jaane kitni jaane sarhad par roz kurbaan hai.
Ladkiya bachaane ki baat jaha karte hum,
Vaha aaj kal na jaane kaise khatre mei ab har jaanwar har bezubaan hai.
Jis sunehre desh mei rehte the hum kabhi,
Kya ye ab bhi vahi Hindustaan hai?
