A bowl full of marbles

मैं दोस्त नहीं बना पाती
वो मुझे अपना दोस्त बताती है,
मैं जब भी चुप हो जाती हूँ

मेरे पूछे हुए सवालों से
कुछ नाराज है ज़माना, 
मेरे मुख्तलिफ खयालों से
कोशिशों की राह पर, 
अब फर्क नहीं पडता, किस्मत के बहानों से
खूबियो के नाम पर एक ज़िद ही तो बची है, 
चाहे तो पूछ लीजिये, मुझे जानने वालो से
रोज़ मिलती हूँ खुद से अनजान बनकर, 
मानो रिश्ता टूट सा गया है, पुरानी पहचानों से......

Close the eyes and recognize my soul animal
And my inner self saw a mighty lion..... 
Ready to conquer, walking with pride
glazing with passion, shining like sun..... 
In his territory, he was walking alone
Fierce as always, eyes were of stone
For bravery wasn't a choice, his virtue was solitude..... 
But instead of regrets his aura screamed gratitude....

In appearance and effect, it was rather intense
Extruding nothingness, void of pretence
Color of infinity, depicting an endless seach
In it's depth if willing anything could submerge
In my empty hands, holding perspectives so insane... 
I have learnt through search, earned through pain
That my very essence is to thrive again

Maybe dominance runs through my blood
As i am my parents eldest child..... 
Out of all that could be inherited
My father's anger, attitude or distress.... 
Out of many parts that could be gifted
As his daughter i got only stubbornness....

taqdeer ka kya hai,
jab chahe ròoth jati hai
kyu na jee lu kuch sapno ko apne
zindagi mujhe inhi mei nazar aati hai
karu kaise waqt ka intezar??
jab koshish mujhe rasta dikhati hai
jo mera hai khud chalkar aayega..,
phir kaha woh mujhe khushi de payega
bina raahon se guzre kon aakhir ??
mujhe meri manzil tak pahuchayega
