आंखों में आसूं ले बैठे हैं अपनों के खोने के ग़म में
इस सजा के हकदार हैं इसलिए सहमे हुए बैठे घर में।
जीवों को जीवन न समझा ,जुल्म किया हमने
इसलिए सहमे हुए बैठे हैं घर में।
धरती से अम्बर तक सब को छुआ है हमने
सबसे बड़ा स्वंय को मान लिया था हमने
जो देखा ये तेरा रूप हमने ,बैठ गए सहमे हुए घर में।
धरती उजाड़ खुद को बसाया था हमने
जो ग़म दिया था उनको, आज मिला है हमने
सबसे बड़ा है तू अब मान लिया है हमने
आंखों में आसूं लिए सहमे हुए बैठे घर में।।

देखो मां, आज मैं पंख लगाएं उड़ जाऊंगा।
ये धरती ये अम्बर तो बस एक चादर है, मैं तो ऊंचाईयों को छू जाऊंगा।
वो जो तारे है न मैं उनमें मिल जाऊंगा, हर रात तुझे चमक कर मैं दिखाऊंगा।
