How easily they claim that you have changed not bothering to take a look at themselves,
How easily they mock your scars not discerning the story it limns,
How easily they ignore your pain not perceiving the ache it brings,
How easily they scorn at your silence not scrutinizing the storm of words it hides,
How easily they believe your smiles not glimpsing the unshed tears in your eyes,
How easily they leave you not realizing being alone was your worst fear.

At each stroke of brush across the white canvas,
She painted her agony for the viewers to appreciate,
She lazily watched the brush flirting among the colors on sheet,
At places the hues a bit too dark and at places a bit too light,
She weaved her story in throes of clashing shades,
And let others be the judge of whether her misery was beautiful enough.

He weaved her in his life.
When she lied to him,
He weaved her in his truth,
When she broke his heart,
He weaved her in his tears.
When she abandoned him,
He weaved her in his memories.
When she betrayed him,
He weaved her in death.

animalistic about her laugh

He walked with spring in his steps
I questioned
Was there no weight on his shoulders?
He gave his trust so easily
I asked
Has no one ever broken it before?
He spoke so tenderly
It made me pause
Was there nothing making him suffer?
When I look beyond this
I see a boy with heart full scars
Shivering and stumbling as he walks
Stabbed in back by people he loves
Suffering? Yes, he is
Yet he says he will give it his all.

His smile was one of the kind
Sweet and naive
His eyes were hungry for love
Whenever I looked at him
I felt my heart break.

There is still something
Beautiful about the way
You scream and suffer
With such a brave smile
On your face
And I wonder
When would it be enough
To break you into pieces.

Remember my name
and I'll come in your dreams
I'll stay as long as you sleep
When you wake up in morning

The memory of me might be fuzzy
Chunks of time you spend
with me might be missing

That you dreamed

A dream we desperately
wish would come true,
How pitiful it is to put hopes
on something utterly broken
Like asking a blind man
to help us cross the street
If it could make
dreams come true
Don't you think it would
have wished to stay up
there a bit longer?
