Truth.
An overrated virtue
If lies had it's druthers,
It would prove.

Lies
Pure white lies
Lies that pause arguments
Lies that can save lives

Druthers
If only lies had control over
It could tell the world
The truth that lies behind lies!

But alas! Lies are defamed
Belonging to lanes of shame
While truth is crowned
Rewarded with druthers to play

They won't love your body
Until the end
Or your mind
Or anything else you pretend
It's the heart
That will speak the name it knows
And that will be the symphony
The world will behold!

She smiles
Shows she is happy
Amidst things that led her
To be pretentious
And they ask her
Why you are so absorbed in your own
The golden chains
Which appear luxury to others!

I write my battles
With utmost neutrality
I write so that
My heart doesn't feel heavy
I write all my lies
In their truest form
I write away all my pain
The words
That this world applauds!

Yet she waits to rise up
Rejuvenated by your love
The very love that made her believe
