बारबार लिख कर वो मिटाया नाम, कागज़ पलटे और बा-मुराद हो जाए
महफिल सजे खूब सफेद नूर से, और काले सालंख भी शाद हो जाए

एक टुकड़े आसमां के सरजमीं पे दफनाया कोई ताज है
कई महलों के नूर से वाकिफ, किसी चांद के शहंशाह है
नज़्मों के तारीफों से गूंजती कोई अफवाह,
सदियों पहले की,
सुना है, शायद सच है,
किताबी के हुस्न के वही बादशाह है-
अगर नूर हो तेरी तरह तो, चांद पे ताज रख कर भी, हम शायर हो जाए
रातों के ख्वाब भरे आसमानों में, तू कहे, और हम कायर हो जाए-
कलाकार है वो गुस्ताख, उसे सज़ा ए इश्क़ दे तो क्या होगा?
कलम में कैद है जिसकी हुकूमत, उसे भरा महफिल दे तो क्या होगा?
अक्षरों से बुलंद तो कईं महल कईं बार किया गए, मगर
सलाखों के पीछे आबाद है जो, उसे चुपचाप बुला लिया तो क्या होगा?-
चांद के तकिए तले, चालाकी से चुराया धूप रखा है किसी ने
सूरज के सपने दिखा कर रात को रेगिस्तान किया है किसी ने
हर उस रेत से इश्क़ करने वाले चांद को छुपाते रहे, मगर
गजब है, नज़्मों में कैद सुबह को खूबसूरत कहा है किसी ने-

is to be a patient who just doesn't wanna get rid
To think of love and live lives with the dream that'll never be..
or just romanticizing insomnia?

Just a sleep and nostalgia
When the broken thunders slow down to rain, standing by
inspiring, consoling the soul to keep and live by
and to hold on with the fragmented hopes that you call ' memories '
is to miss what has never been, to smile and forget what for
To sit down with a wicked pen and injured diary
tryna breathe the airs of your successful ancestry
is a regret, a loss, a fault, a flaw, a crime
Don't call it love, I've never been, I don't know
Love's what? just few words that don't rhyme-
आसमां के कफ्तान से यूं चांद चुराना ठीक नहीं
मालूम है बादशाह को, शमशीर के हुस्न में मदहोशी ठीक नहीं
नूर लगती है नज़र के बदले, यूं झुकाना ठीक नहीं
ज़रा सा चूक जाए कयामत का निशाना,तो यूं बेहोशी ठीक नहीं-
तू ताज को सलांखों के पीछे रख आ, हम हथकड़ी पहने रखेंगे
तू महलों को आवाम में लूटा कर आ, हम तलवार तैयार रखेंगे
बुलावा है आसमानों का, तू सितारे दे, हम पुराना इतिहास लिखेंगे
एक दुआ मांग और चला हुकुम, झूठा वादा सही, हम फिर मिलेंगे-
