Remembering You
Early morning I stood by my gate,
The sunlight plays hide and seak showing on my face.

I feel your presence suddenly,
Till the time I realise you are already gone quickly.

I search around for you just to see your glimpse,
I pray for your wellbeing to almighty.

I am still in disbelief that you left last night,
I wish I could reverse time and hold you back tight.

Its the first time in these eight months,
I woke up feeling the empty bedside.

I thought it would not be that tough,
To live without you for somedays with our beautiful memories would be enough.

Today I realised I can't live without you ,
Without you every moment is pale and incomplete.

Now I love you even more,
As distance made me realise how far I am from you.

The Cyber City of Gurugram is the new hub for Fortune 500 across the globe.

People migrate from several cities,
To settle down here doing odd jobs for their living.

The residents of this city are cunning and greedy,
They never buy your emotions yet make you pay hefty.

Building their bunglow with our blood and sweat,
Yet they are thankless and selfish.

They treat us like the downtrodden,
Make us feel undervalued,poor and vulnerable.

They charge us exorbitant amounts even for the air we breathe,
They live in their false bubble of fake pride and disbelief.

When will these animals understand,
When you are called you will have to leave everything behind including your land.

I saw the world through your eyes,
When you were here everything felt so nice.

I waited throughout the year,
I was overjoyed when my journey to Kolkata came near.

It was time we meet again,
Schools have finally shut for summer vacation.

Thakumar Jhuli from which you read beautiful stories,
Traditional food and delicacies were mouth watering.

Your teachings were different,
I participated actively in order to learn new things.

Whenever I felt low and defeated,
You always filled me up with motivation and purpose much needed.

In these dark woods,
You were my northern star guiding me towards light.

I grew up to become a mirror image of you,
Not realising you too aged in these years so few.

When you fell ill I was your commander,
I filled you with powerful words which helped you conquer.

One fine day you couldn't listen,
You left us alone for your trip to heaven.

This vaccum will remain within me forever,
Oh grandmother will you come back ever?

As the clock turned 12 at midnight,
I suddenly got the flashback of my journey from a CA student to a CA fresher with all the spotlight.

It feels like yesterday I entered this industry,
And today I have completed four glorious years.

As a child I always wondered that super heroes on television had magical powers,
Dressed in colorful costumes they saved lives and provided cover.

As a grown up I realised that real super heroes lead a tough life,
Away from home they protect the nation with their blood and pride.

The true heroes who stood by our nation,
Are often unheard and unnamed for their undying passion.

This Army Day let's pause to salute,
The unprecedented courage, chivalry and commitment to express our sincere gratitude.

Kashi is a holy place,
But for me it is a symbol of my happy place.

The day I stepped into this land,
The fresh breeze cleansed all the weight that I took over unplanned.

The surreal feeling is yet to sync in,
Kashi is the only place where life and death get their meaning.

Where you can feel the supreme power in every breath,
The only place where you can experience the creator and destroyer without any myth.

Where every stone possesses life,
A city that narrates the pain of separation of Bholenath from Sati his first wife.

Kashi is that dimension of earth where marriage became the epitome of unconditional love and sacrifice,
Where you worship Shiva and Parvati together as the ultimate truth exemplified.

It is hard to walk away from Kashi without feeling different,
I feel I am a whole new person with an alternative sense of direction.

The faces are lit up,
The homes sparkle with the brightness of candles, lights and diyas.

Deepawali has arrived in full grandeur,
A reunion of friends and family with delicacies to savour.

This time we vouch for buying local,
Selfies and social media posts have lost their count total.

As we cleanse our households may this Diwali purify our hearts,
May Ganesha and Lakshmi guide our way to prosperity, kindness and humility.

History tells the story of truth triumph over evil,
May Lord Ram's homecoming be celebrated in every home by lighting a candle.

Goddess Kali is the source of origin and end,
May her blessings empower our way ahead.
