transferred at maybe the speed of light,
understood without respite,
affection and love, the all of it enclosed,
yet so free from the shackles forlorn,
of love that’s misunderstood and feared,
a kiss conveys enough meaning,
for a moment of blissful fathom

Yet, through the void, a subtle smile,
A facade that veils the hurt awhile.

Within the heart, a silent scream,
A hollow echo, an elusive dream.
Yet, masquerading joy prevails,
Camouflaging as contentment sails.

In pain's embrace, a strange delight,
A paradox that veers from light.
For in the abyss, a solace found,
A sanctuary in the silent sound.

In emptiness, a strange reprieve,
A canvas where sorrows weave.
Yet, happiness wears a cryptic guise,
A mask concealing tear-stained eyes.

For sometimes joy, an enigma true,
Arises from the pain we knew.
In emptiness, a paradox spins,
A tale of resilience the heart begins.

She’s the morning dew that waits for sunlight,
to meet and disperse away in a flash,
leaving behind a trail of scent and the beauty
of a story unknown, left behind.

a frugal outing to somewhere far,
with minimum weightage on my mind,
packed with fur and summer shorts alike,
heavy suitcase with handle seems right,
window seat on an unbusy train,
thoughts racing past in slow motion while
analysing rains, warmth in my fingers from
the morning sun, aching to write something
different and difficult, about a journey to find
my missing self, under unrealistic timelines but
a promise in return…

I fell in love with your footsteps,
spiralling away into a vortex unknown,
milestones flashing before my eyes too fast,
whilst I keep my eyes fixated on the outlines,
trying to trace as slowly as possible,
as lines get blurry and I reach the singularity,
can’t help but close my eyes and feel,
no destination in my mind,
just a silhouette from my imagination,
vivid and sublime…

dawning of a realisation that an ocean houses
the waves that crash, not the other way around; that
the depth is always greater than the height.

the cusp of curses
thrown my way,
were blessings
in disguise without
a guess, woven together
like petals of a flower,
with an aroma to diminish
thorny piercings all the way
through, I resisted until lastly
I’m rewarded with my patience,
a heart rebuilt with compassion,
just like plucked flowers reborn

How does it feel to be known by your loneliness alone?
To be personified as a symbol of beauty with
alliterations of ugly? In many failed attempts to reach
the part of you uknown, we neglected the part being
visible always. That’s the irony for the artificial satellite
of humanities only habitat I guess. This is an attempt to
respect your boundaries and make you feel a little more necessary. It’s not about us anymore, it’s about
you. We might have defied science by hit and trial, but
we’re lucky to have you looking after us everyday,
everytime. At least now you’ll have company to get your unknown side explored and understood.

across those invisible cracks of my heart,
the clinging pain retaliates back with force,
trying to suffocate and block a masquerade,
an overwhelming emotional turmoil at bay,
