in these lines there is nothing i want to unburden onto
the world
only a scene
as if one holds out a piece of chewing gum to a friend:
a ceiling cut into a starry sky
-
list of things i have been carrying
today:
1. memory of my beloved's face
2. an afternoon story
to tell my grandchildren
3. half torn wallet of ticket passes
& restaurant bills
-
the superpower i want to yield
is to shapeshift into every other person
you meet-
the wind is as warm
as his voice over phone,
i am the leaves coming apart
in this wind.
carry me away to a place called
yours
later to call it mine.-
"what you looking at?"
i ask to a packet of flour gaping outside the kitchen
window where the building terrace cuts into a triangle blue sky

today feels like i am in love.
it was a soft soft evening. cozy.
maybe it was streetlight, maybe it was starbucks.
probably starbucks.
cotton soft evening. slow sighed evening. highway
trees. feathery voiced jungkook saying only fools
fall for you in this dazy cab ride.

i have learned the art of still life;
to be still
while there is still life left
to be lived.
-
when i am running out of
time
i am running into you,
making timeless memories
making time matter less-
the last person
who made me smile was
my better half.
i am the bitter half.
(and most times we switch places
between the two)-
THE YELLOW DUCK
The yellow duck killed the man. At least that's what the rumor said. It was a bright sunny wednesday. His cactus bloomed a pink flower amongst its thorns, which he wouldn't notice for the fate he met later in the morning. He brewed his coffee and turned on the tap to let the tub fill, typed in a sick leave and waited for an eventful day. He entered the tub rather awkwardly, letting his bottom sink. An idea seemed to have struck, for he rushed in mid with a grin and opened the cabinet. He found her lavender oil. he spilled half the content in the water and breath in what seemed like content and peace. Later that night, she returned home after work and smelled the lavender as she let herself in. What wiped the smirk off her face was his head lolled in an inhuman angle. The scream in her throat fought hard to uncage and finally flew into the night when she registered the red water in the tub. Her hysterics blamed the yellow rubber duck floating aimlessly.-
