The time when depression hit me ,
I still struggle to say it out loud in a society where
mental health Issues are frowned upon.
The last three years have taught me
more than my entire life summed up together did.
No wonder it had me pay for things i could never afford &
made me lose things i can never compensate ,
but i believe it has been most life changing event, a phenomenon in my life.
Because it made me a better person ,
From an overly entitled person with narcissistic traits ,
i found myself different than i was before .
All those struggles , depressions , failures & disappointments in my life induced passion & strength in my heart for my dreams ;
compassion , love & sympathy in my heart for myself and
every person alive or dead.

// It was a Chaos that taught me to love myself. //
// The happiness i own is a paradox of misery amid contentment. //

That's why i fell for you
In the first place.

I admit im not as romantic as you're.
Im in fact a dull as dust ,
But I have never found it hard
to praise you ,or to compliment your existence.

As i like to call them
" The Black hole phenomenon" .
As they could capture time,

But i choose to not to talk about it,
As it has been cliched by many great poet's.

As it starts to snow, people sit by the beside window
& Watch it falling from the sky...
With a cup of " kehwa " in one hand,
dilapidated memories begin to strike
not knowing why . .
We as a children used to go out &
look up the sky to see the snowflakes falling...
It feels like we were going up towards the sky &
as though the clouds were calling...
By the end of the day ,
everything gets wrapped in a thick white layer of snow around...
Here & there , above & below , it's absolutely whiteness all around ...
From making snowman ,to throwing snowballs over one another...
People enjoy the snowfall without caring about the cold weather...
From making toys out of the icicles to secretly eating the fluffy snow...
The children get to fullfill their fantasies & remember them as they grow...
There's an emotion attached and a different kind of feeling i might say ...

A snowy 🌨️ day in Kashmir 🍁

As the winter continues , white clouds engulfs the sky &
the sun is no longer seen...
Days get even shorter,& the trees turn white from brown & green...
A lush of silence spreads across the streets &
a strange aura fills up the air...
Nights get longer & the birds return to their nests in fear...
There's an emotion attached & a different kind of feeling i might say...
In Kashmir these are the things
that happen during winters on a snowy day...
People prefer to stay indoors & keep themselves warm ,
By wearing a long gown called "pheraan" ,
that brings a different kinda charm...
The kids in the winter apparels looks like teddy bears walking around...
The older ones stay indoors & listen to folks of kashmiri sound...

I write because my emotions belong to the moon ,
the darkness & the fairytales.
I write to prove a legacy in the form of poetry.
I write to make sense out of senseless.
I write knowing i will be killed by my own words ,
stabbed by critics ,
crucified by both
misunderstanding and understanding.
I write for the haters , the lovers ,the lonely ,
the broken-hearted and the dreamers.
My words will reach all the hearts ,
hearts that have forgotten that they exist.
I write because one day someone tell me that
my emotions were not a waste of time.

WHY DO I WRITE ?
I write by accident , prompting , purposefully &
Anywhere there's paper.
I write to became the person
that hides inside of me .
I write to be seen & heard .
I write because my heart speaks a different language that
someone needs to hear.
I write because i want to paint the pain in poetry.
I write because hypocrisy doesn't need answers ,
rather it need questions to heal.
I Write myself out of nightmares.
I write because I'm nostalgic , romantic
& demand happy ending .
I write to remember & be remembered.
I write because speaking can't be reread.
I write to sooth a mind that races.

OBSTACLE
It was the strong wind , which attacked me.
I couldn't see.
How those uncertain troubles come on my way.
I didn't get time to realise on that day .
I was blown away in an unknown place,
I couldn't replace.
I got a mighty blow.
I have faced tension and depression altogether.
My days of life were tough.
When i opened my dull eyes ,
I saw the rising sun , which turned into a big size.
He said something to me , i heard his voice.
He told me to stand and fight.
Then i found my self-belief.
I felt relief.
I rediscovered myself.
I dare to face the challenges without any help.
It was my great move.
It was the obstacle, which taught me how to tackle the life....

When you are done earning
name ,fame & all materialistic pleasures.
When you are finally able to see
beyond the veil of your ego & anger....
We shall meet for a cup of coffee ,
probably in your city ...
for the sake of those golden moments
which we have spent together in
the long distance ,
for the sake of those tales
which were left unsaid....!!!!
