SALTLESS
Only the salt inside me knows
how I wasted it
by crying rivers
instead of preserving it
to build a castle of survival.-

SLIP AWAY
You cannot save people
by embracing them tighter;
so you must tie your hands
with patience
and
let them slip away
like sand.
-
RAGE
May all your rage
settles like water
not burn you
and
fertilizes the soil on your head
for a new soul to evolve.-
A FINE TREE
After years of wandering,
I planted a seed within me;
no desires no hopes
without a rush
and
let myself grow, slowly,
into the finest tree.
-
PARTS OF ME
I carry this bruised lip with me;
the one who speaks in pieces,
and
stumbles upon its wounds
yet I continue
as my words are a reflection
of my being.
-
PARTS OF ME
I carry this bruised lip with me;
the one who speaks in pieces
yet I continue
because they are a part of my story.
-
The day I become ordinary
instead of strange
is the day I lose myself :
I’d rather be brave
to fly with the wind
than sit
and watch somebody else
dancing with my wings.
-
I heard your laughter in places
I dare not visit;
so I tied my feet
with knots of suffering
and
told myself that
I was born crippled.-
My heart was frozen
watching your shadows
merge with someone else's;
so
I turned on the light
hoping for warmth
to embrace me tight.-
The wait taught me patience
so I sat beneath the rain of my tears,
and
just like a seed
I sprouted the first flower
of my being.
