Yearning Verse
Sarbinong Teron
Sun, Feb 4, 2024

I too yearn to be the verse...
not the bard, but the written curse.
To glimpse myself through her eyes,
To know if my essence does prevail.

Do my small joys catch her sight...?
or my giggles, under my breathe...?
Does she sense my heartbeat,
or the flutter when our gazes meet?

For once, let me be the immortalized,
in the depths of your soul, in the pages of your verse,
yet whispers of doubt, they creep & weave
Do I dare ask, Do I dare believe?

Or am I selfish in my plea,
to be the poem, not the decree?
for long, I've penned your sweet rhyme..
yet mine remain untouched through time.

Does flowers not bloom for bee's delight?
Does bees not aid in pollination plight?
So why, then, should my heart not yearn..
For once...to be the poem and not the poet..?

"The Illusion Of You"

In the silence of the Midnight’s air,
Awaken by the memories, I, a prisoner of past.
Lingers by the Ruins of her memory..
Still in love with the idea of she.

Nights, a labyrinth of despair...
where I die yet my soul stood still.
the idea of you, such a bitter pill,
for your love, a castle of sand.

Gone is the warmth, the familiar touch,
Strangers again, in the aftermath's embrace,
A chapter closed, a love erased..
for I am but a man you toyed.

Thus this, my ballad of love, eternally blue...
"The Illusion of You", a title so true.
Ask not who I am to you,
I am the boy, trapped in "The Illusion of You"

And what if
Sengbinong Teron
10/06/2023

....and what if,
What if we were 12
And there's a garden by the river side
Between your house & mine...?
A verdant tapestry, where dreams entwined
Would you not lay waste with me,
Beneath that old tree,
where we carved our names in it's bark, a testament eternal, of our soul so free.
As night fall, will we not meet there...?
By the river side,
And gazes the stars, & let our eyes intertwined as our soul unites.
When dawn arrives, would you not wait by the garden's edge,
where loves holds sway.
Shall we not collect pebbles so fair,
Hand in hand, as memories are woven in the air.
Oh how, your looks would transcends,
Unassuming, yet in most perfect way.
As I behold your radiance, my heart shall rise,
enchanted by the beauty that lies within your eyes.
Yearning for escape, to a realm untamed, where societal chains loses its claim.
Alas, no garden graces our earthly dwell,
only towering walls soaring high, the hardest obstacles.

"Do you remember that evening..? "
That evening? No I don't remember
"You forget everything so fast, You must have moved on"

That evening, yes I don't remember,
but I remember how your face lit under those stars..
And how you healed my scars
I remember the touch of your hands,
and the way you shyly glance..
I remember how I ran my hand through your hair,
and how you hit your face and asked if I care..
No I don't remember that evening,
but I remember how my heart started believing..
I remember the grip of our finger,
and how we wished the night was longer..
I remember the awkward silence when we ran out of words..
Now when I hear those chirping of birds
I find abundance in those silent words
To those memories, my heart still sings
So what does it matter if I don't remember that evening!

My childhood

The golden days recons,
Those childhood days song.
When none blame the other wrong,
When happiness was us not what we long.

Escaping mom's sweet scold,
Running bare foot on the Dusty soil.
When pure was the heart and soul,
Free from all torment and toil.

Unaware of what's wrong and right,
Was innocent in everyone's sight.
When we hugged after a fight,
I wonder when my childhood died.

I forgive thyself

I Thread upon the never ending road,
Among the seemingly busy crowd.
My Heart burdened with heavy load,
Besieged with dark cloud.

Regretful past purloined my smile,
I felt enervated for a while.
But with my past thyself I reconcile,
For I ruminate I was just a child.

Omitting skeptical people behind,
Cuz lately I've made up my mind.
Gone must be my wretched time
For it's time for my heart to shine.
