We owe ourselves
The duty of healing
From the trauma of our past.
Looking beyond the indelible scars
Still on our skins and souls,
May we, compulsed by posterity,
Raise whole men from our broken pieces.
-
Even at heights of the Eagle,
Men falter & fall.
Though we are tired & frail,
In You, we stand strong & tall.
Lord,
By strength shall no man prevail
So, unto You we surrender our all.
With You, we win and never fail.-
Rather than buried in a cloud of worry,
My head is lifted in praise;
My eyes behold Your glory.
Yours is a profusion of Love;
Yours, superfluous Mercy.-
Dear Old Friend,
No, I haven't abandoned ship: no, I haven't bailed out on you.
Yes, I have gone radio-silent; Trying hard to patch this
Irritating, consistently-recurring, not-intending-to-stop leak,
On my end of this boat called Life.
I see you, I hear you. More importantly,
I say a prayer for you, always.
I would reach out to you, again,
Soon as I've figured out how to make head and tail
Of this puzzle called "adulting".
And if you decipher this code quicker than I do,
I'd appreciate a hand or a word.
Regardless of the cracks & faults, this boat won't sink.
Not on our watch. Trust me, We'd surely find a way ashore.
Dear Old friend, C'est la vie.
#Adelante, nil desperadum
-
Here we are, bereft of sleep
Night after night,
In pursuit of lofty heights.
Scared by tomorrow's dream
We can not bat an eye lid
We dare not slumber
Here we are, this night also,
Just like the countless gone
Just like the countless to come.
A single chorus on our lips,
An echoing call to arms:
To rest is to rot.
Adelante! We March on!-
Dear God,
All the languages in the world,
Would not suffice to express our gratitude.
All the choirs in heaven,
Would not suffice to sing Your praise.
You have blessed us bounteously
& preserved us preciously.
Not that we deserve any of these,
It is just Your nature to show us kindness.
Our hearts, on the verge of explosion,
Are filled with sincerest adoration.
Every day of our lives
Is a testimony of Your grace.
Thank You, not just for being God,
Thank You for being our God.

Dear God,
Here we are, hidden under the shadow of Your wings
& seated at the banquet of Your love.
Here we are, standing by our stone of help,
& lost in the glory of Your Presence.
Lord, the nations do not fathom the depth of our gratitude to You;
We alone know how merciful You have been to us.
Your hand over us has been steadfast & sure.
Your promise to us has been trusted & true.
You have not failed to bless us;
We will not fail to thank You!

Dear God,
We are bereft of the eloquence of speech
And the skill of persuasion
To submit our case or plead our cause.
We admit to our frailties
& acknowledge our countless blemishes.
Thank You for the blood of the Lamb
That still speaks from Calvary
And presents a far better case
Than our finest advocates & orators.
We cannot, we would not plead our case;
Lest we fall short.
We only plead the Blood.

Dear God,
Is it not You who has blessed us thus?
Is it not Your breath in our lungs,
And Your praise on our lips?
Is it not Your essence in our beings,
And Your life in our viens?
We have repeatedly done the calculation
& we have arrived at the same conclusion:
It is impossible to take You out of the equation.
Minus You, we amount to nothing,
Plus You, we are everything.
