বদলের বায়ু বয়েছিল এই ধূসর প্রান্তে,
রঙিন প্রজাপতির মেলা দেখা গিয়েছিল ওই গোধূলি দিগন্তে।
ছিল না কোন সবুজ, শুধু পড়েছিল কিছু শুষ্ক পাতা-এক নতুন দিনের অপেক্ষায়।
সেদিন শহর সেজে উঠেছিল নতুন রবে,
তোমার অপেক্ষায় ছিল সে,
সেই চিলেকোঠার ঘরে।

এমন যেটা মনে করিয়ে দেবে সেই ফেলে আসা দিন গুলোর কথা,
যখন বর্ষা মানেই কাগজের নৌকা ভাসান,
স্কুলের থেকে রেহাই,
বৃষ্টিতে ভিজতে যাওয়া।
আজ এই সব স্মৃতি মুছে গেছে কংক্রিটের ইশারায়,
শুধু রয়ে গেছে কিছু অচেনা ছবি।

আগলে রাখার জন্যে,
মনে মনে খেলাঘর বাঁধার জন্যে..
দেখো, আমরা পথ চলবো অনেক দূর।
হাত ধরে বলো না যেন "চলে যাচ্ছি",
চলে যেতে চাইলে বুঝি যাওয়া যায়?
এখনো যে ছায়াপথ হেঁটে যাওয়া বাকি আছে,
রাতের আকাশের তারা গোনা বাকি,
মহাসাগরের জল মাপা বাকি।

ভেবেছিলাম তোমায় পাবো পাশে,
চোখ মেলে দেখি, তুমি গেছো,
গোধূলি বেলাও গেছে,
এখন শুধুই স্মৃতি,যেন কেউ মেঘের চাদর ছড়িয়ে রয়েছে চার দিকে।
আমি ভাবলাম শূন্য থেকেই শুরু করব
আবার শূন্য দিয়েই শেষ করবো,
মাঝে খালি কয়েকটি সংখ্যা থাকবে মাত্র..
বাকিটা শূন্যতায় আচ্ছন্ন থাক।

যেখানে এখনো আগুনের শিখা হয়ে ফুঁটে ওঠে পলাশ,
দেখা যায় সূর্যদয়ের প্রথম কিরণ আলোকময় করে তোলে এক নতুন দিনের সূচনায়,
যেখানে পাখিদের কোলাহলে সকাল হয়ে ওঠে আরো সুন্দর,
মেলে দেওয়া যায় স্বপ্নের অবিশ্রান্ত ডানা।
