Communal violence is a word unheard
The idea of misogyny is fully deterred
A literate population that operates on practicality
Terminated all the taboos created by the old society

A fit and healthy India talks about mental health openly
Has become the permanent member of the UN proudly
Sportspersons are breaking world records and making history
The crime rate is rapidly falling off on the contrary


Walking shoulder to shoulder on the road of perfection,
the country is achieving new heights
Yes, along with success comes rejection,
but as long as we are together we always can, make things right.

Being the change that I wish to see
What I wish is tough but so are we
Come on, let us travel to this country of imagination
Free from the virus, a country with an ideal administration

Not the king of arms, but the king of hearts
The hub of innovation, the epitome of art
The country where people follow their passion
Are not driven by hatred but are filled with compassion
Where the youth is wise, dedicated to the nation
Where gender is not a barrier to education

A scenic beauty, a pleasure to the eyes
A world-class economy, celebrating poverty’s demise
People’s decision is always a priority
Every voice is heard, be it in majority or minority
Corruption is not a problem anymore
The laws are rigid and the implementation is better than before

बलिदान की वो गाथाएँ हर हिंदुस्तानी के दिल में है
हम भारत में नहीं, बल्कि भारत हम में है ।
सोने की चिड़िया कहलाती, माटी ये महान थी,
व्यापारी के रूप मे आई, ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी शैतान थी ।
निर्दोषों का खून बहा था जलियाँवाला बाग में,
आशा की नई किरण जगी थी इंक़लाब जिंदाबाद में ।
सच्चाई और अहिंसा के पथ पर चलते, हम भारतवासी वीर थे,
विदेशी वस्तुएँ त्याग दी, आज़ादी के हम अधीर थे ।
'साईमन गो बैक' का हमने एक- साथ नारा लगाया,
नियम तोड़, हमने स्वयं नमक बनाया ।
कितने देशभक्त शहीद हुए, पर हार हमने न मानी,
लड़े आखिरी सांस तक, हो भगत सिंह, या झाँसी की रानी ।।

You became my support system like a body's spine
With you nothing makes sense at all,
Some crazy moments I remember, and some I don't even recall
We are totally opposite like day and night,

A day spent with me is worth to remember
In which no company is present and I am the only member
Some call it loneliness and some call it madness
I don't agree with them as for me it's happiness
Wondering about having a life full of dreams
And a family which is not as easy to handle as it seems
Of having the amazing friends I never mention
And the day is spent peacefully without any external tension
I dance and I sing
I make poems about my first zing
I get lost in the world of my imagination
I close my eyes and feel the wind's sensation

Away from all the earthly possessions,
My heart feels a little lighter
I love to call this ME time one of my obsessions,
As it makes my soul a little brighter.

Mesmerised by the beauty of her eyes,
In which laid thousands of truths and lies.
Secretly gawking the way she laughs,
Deliberately walk past her to see how beautifully she wears her scarf.
Her soft chuckles makes my heart flutter,
I sometimes picture us holding hands together.
My conscience mocks me for not making a move,
But I fear that I will regret as she would disapprove.
She once passed a smile at me,
I spent the day dancing in glee.
She's different from others, so sweet and simple,
The round face girl who looks cute with her dimples.
I know she's beautiful inside out,
As she's the ideal girl movies talk about.
A girl like her doesn't deserve a guy like me,
But staying away from her isn't easy.
She has done something to me without being aware of,
This is some kind of love that is unheard of.
All that I know is, in this world of now or never,
She could be the one whom I could call my Forever.

काग़ज़ की कश्तियाँ चलाया हम करते थे
छोटी-छोटी बातों पर शर्माया हम करते थे
नन्हें क़दम बढ़ाकर जब भी बाहर हम निकलते,
ऊँची-ऊँची हवाइयाँ भरा हम करते थे

भले- बुरे की ख़बर ना कोई, ग़लती हम कर जाते थे
डाँट डपट के बाद दिन कई, हम रूठ के बिताते थे
मुट्ठी में सपने लिए, आसमान को छूने की आशा थी
जब कभी कोई चीज़ ना मिले, तो दो दिन की निराशा थी

दिल था कोमल, फूलों की पंखुड़ियों की तरह
सहा नही जाता था, एक पल भी माँ से विरह
नए दोस्त बनाना था चुटकियों का काम
खेलने की कोई सीमा नहीं, हो जाती थी सुबह से शाम

हँसती-खिलती आँखें रोज़ नए ख़्वाब बुनती थी
नादानी के दिनों के किससे वो पिरोती थी

द्वेष भावना न थी हम में
ना था ये भेद भाव
ख़ुशक़िस्मत थे हम उस बचपन में
जहाँ सुकून था, नाकि ये तनाव।।
