Theherte, sisakte, kaanpte mere ye kadam,
Phir bhi chal rahe
Shaam ki taraf,

Isi ummeed mein ki kabhi to,
Guzregi chandni mere bhi khidkiyon se,
Ki kabhi to shab bhi sahar ban jayegi,
Ki kabhi to tootega ye khwaishon ka bojh,
Aur yaadein saari kahin dafan ho jayengi.

Hasratein, arzuon aur khwaishon ki galliyon mein
Kabhi to sukoon ka ek ghar hoga,
Baramde par bicchi chandni hogi
Na kal hoga na kal ki baatein hongi
Bas jo guzar raha pal, usi ki yaadein hongi.
