The infant rays of the newborn day
Crawled through the window pane
Peeping into my swollen eyes;
Up from bed, it's so red!
The walls roaring in fire!
The floors flaming in rage!
Heat on heat! In this December dawn!

Curse my sense!
Who say he's not to my next!
The night was kind
Though tossing and tossing me on bed
And sparrows pecking my sleepless head
Let me seek the blindest night
For I could wander like a crazy soul
Searching him in the depth of dark!

Curse me! For my lightest nap!
Days to get up half this dead
Cooked and burnt in the mental fire!
Hey You! By Your Mercy
Dig me grave!
Bury me deep with all my dreams
Let them craft a coffin for me
A coffin of Peace!
