“ ‘In this age of quarrel and hypocrisy,
the only means of deliverance is the
chanting of the holy names of the
Lord. There is no other way.
There is no other way.
There is no other way.’ ”-

Sometimes He tied Ghungrus ( small bells) on His ankles and dance with abandon around in ecstasy while singing, probably in the company of visiting fakirs who were putting up here for a night or two.
The Takia was located in front of the exit gate on the northern wall of the Samadhi Mandir. Just across from Gurusthan, to the East of Dixit Wada opposite the Neem Tree, near to where an open theatre has recently been built there used to be Takia or small shed. This room is used as an announcement center.
Although Takia is no more one can imagine the scenes of ecstatic devotion that were creatively enacted here during the night hours.

The Takia is a resting place for visiting Fakirs. When Fakirs go on pilgrimages, they can break journey and stay in a Takia.
Before Sai Baba came to live in the Masjid, He stayed in this Takia for sometime when He first came to Shirdi.
Sai Baba had a great love of music and dance. In His early days, He would often go by the Takia and sing devotional songs usually in Arabic or Persian, or the (Hindi) songs of Kabir. His voice is described as 'very sweet and appealing'.-
Just as the Sun having first drawn in water from the hiddenmost parts of the Earth, gives it ultimately back, so the wise men ought to draw in sensual enjoyments only to give them up in the end.

Just as the ocean remains within
its bounds though hundreds and thousands of rivers fall into it, so the mind of the wisemen is never moved by the inflow of pleasures. To keep the mind so steady and unmoved among temptations is a lesson that I have learnt from the ocean.-
The boa does not move about for its food and remains contended with whatever it gets and keeps on lying in one place .From this I learnt to be unmindful of food and to be content with whatever I get to eat.

I once saw a pair of pigeons with their striplings. A fowler came and caught the pigeon's brood. The mother pigeon being much attached to the young ones did not care to live, so she fell into the net and was caught. The male pegion being attached to the female pegion and the young ones also followed her example. They both gave up their lives out of their deep affection for their children. From this I moralized that it is this affection which is the cause of all bondages. To give up affection is the only way to attain emancipation.

The moon in itself always complete but appears to decrease and increase owing to the varying shadow of Earth upon it. From this I have learnt that the Atma is always perfect and full in its own nature and beyond all changes; it is only upadhis that cast shadow on it.

The only receptacle that fire possesses is its stomach. It swallows up whatever fuel is thrown into it and does not leave any remnants of it for future use. From this I have learnt to eat whatever I get and never care to store it for any future use.

The air is always moving through various objects but it never gets attached to anyone of them; so I have learnt from it to be without attachment though roaming among all creatures.
