A look back at 2021...

For whatever happened between us...

Feelings aside... Reality hits different... I know...

That's why... All I need is a reply to "I am sorry"...

A doctor from Kolkata was in his home. He looked tired, sat in on his bed, relaxing himself from the tiring day he had. His wife served him the dinner and after that he went to sleep.

"For how long will all of this go? We have been living in this room for months now. When we will go out? We are confined in our own house!", said the doctor's wife.

"I am so sorry, but what can we do now. We have such a big house, 2 years ago, both us thought we will live happily in this house with our kids. But we had leave them in our hometown, and make this house, a nursing home for all Covid patients. Who thought this virus will create such situation?".

Yes, this is the story of many doctors in this pandemic. The shortage of beds and oxygen ventilators grew so drastically last year, doctors had to treat the Covid patients in their own house!

Let's not create that situation again this year. Wear your masks, wash your hands, take the vaccines in time, maintain the norms even after that, maintain social distancing, and help our doctors come out of such drastic situations.

Let's be what they have been to us, FIGHTERS!

Sirens blow all the way..
People are in their house locked down.
Only people going out are either the
Warriors wearing PPE kits or
The guardians wearing khaki color uniform.

They have been out their, away from their families all this time...
For all of us, so that we all stay safe.
One is ready with stethoscopes, ventilators to safe our lives.
Another is ready to maintain peace and order among us..
So that we are there with our families when they are not.

Let us help these brave warriors,
Who have put their lives in danger for us.
Let's be grateful to them, by going out as much less as we can.
Let's support them, and make this world,
A beautiful place to live as it has been always.
Let's pay our respects to who martyred while doing their job,
And be careful for the ones who are out their, treating the affected, vaccinating the non affected.

Let's put and end to Covid 19 together!

I asked a doctor one day,
"What are your hobbies?".

The doctor said,
"Life! Saving the lives of people is our hobby.
Sometimes we fail, but we make sure our hobby is fulfilled".

I asked a doctor one day,
"What inspires you to be a doctor?".

The doctor said,
"Smile! The smiles on each and every face around us,
motivates us to take care of them".

I asked a doctor one day,
"What's your reaction when you are successful in saving a life?".

The doctor said,
"Better! Not great because if we were able to save someone here,
we couldn't save someone on the other side".

I asked a doctor one day,
"How do you deal when you lose a patient to the destiny?".

The doctor said,
"Peacefully! We do feel bad for the closed ones of the gone.
Yes, when we come out of the OT and tell them, "Sorry, we couldn't save them",
our hearts break. But we stay calm because we need to save
other patients. We give our best".

I asked a doctor one day,
"Why would you take such a risky job?".

The doctor said,
"To save the lives of people and
keeping them healthy is not a job, it's a service.
We do it for them, not for ourselves".

That day, I saluted the doctor.

Our relationship is meant to be something that was written by the stars and drawn into our destiny, not something which would please the requirements of people witnessing our love through their naked eyes.
