হঠাৎ করে উড়ে আসে আনন্দিত টুনটুনি এক ঝাঁক,
বলে, "মোম, এটা শুধু তোর,তুই যত্নে রাখ।
সুখকর সৃষ্ট শিশির, গায়ে মেখে থাক;
আছে যত ব্যাথা-বেদনা দুরে চলে যাক।"

As a teacher I want to be a friend, philosopher and guide for my students.

Rather than bookish knowledge,
Some practical lessons and life knowledge we must share with our pupils.

I think a teacher plays a great role to turn a simple person into a thoughtful human being. Only a teacher can open up his/her mind to gain the ocean of knowledge.

And last but not the least, teachers must not stop to learn new things during their lifetime, it will surely enhance skills.

আমার ছিল দুটো ডানা,
না না আছে বৈকি।
আটকে রাখতে বাধ্য,
কে কি বলবে...
তাই নেই খোলার সাধ্য।
হয় তাতে কষ্ট,
তা জানতে...
কেউ করবে না সময় নষ্ট।
স্বপ্নের বারান্দায়
বাঁচার কথা ছিল আমার;
ভয় হয়, শিকল পায়ে
পিছিয়ে আসি বারবার।
ঠিক যেন ডানা কাটা আমি,
জোর করে ভোলানো হয়--
আমার, আমি টাই সব চাইতে দামী।।
