BEING TRULY INDEPENDENT

Those young hearts which fought bravely were their inspiration,
The idea of an independent India was their motivation.
They were my forefathers
Lucky men who died for the nation.

They were always happy that we shall grow in an independent nation.
But, I am sure this is not the nation that drew everyone's attention,
They did their best to achieve their intent
But we are still suppressing our emotions, leaving ourselves torment
The nation they wished was one where
Knowledge was eternal
A nation where the need for books didn't make anyone struggle
A nation where my weaknesses weren't highlighted by the community
A nation where the poor need not fight for dignity
A nation where crying didn't make a man weak
A nation where a girl child wasn't considered a mistake.
Our ancestors stood against the British
Now it's our turn to fight against injustice.
Let's ignite the courage we have inherited
Let's crush the stereotypes we ourselves created
Let's not be bounded by the chains of stereotypes anymore.
Let's celebrate our independence like never before.

The universe has much to observe!
The cosmos flows in my blood and rules each of my nerves.
I see the stars twinkling and glittering.
I am lucky I have born in a land where everything is mesmerizing!
I want to describe how stunning it is.
I want to express the beauty which brings me true peace!
But! There's no one besides me.
No one to hear me praising the infinite groups of galaxies.
There's no one interested in my fantasies.

I find the world and the people
Sometimes smiling together,
Sometimes hitting each other.

I see the love pouring down in rain,
And the trees shedding their leaves in pain.
I see immense excitement in the rainbow which is indeed a wonder,
And the anger bursting out in thunder.
But! There's no one besides me.
No one to listen to my strange observations,
No one with whom I can share everything without hesitation.

Lonely I am, but not depressed.
My thoughts are ignored, but aren't suppressed.
For I have a gem shining for me.
For I have my pen flowing for me.
As long as the sun is burning
And the stars are glowing,
My pen won't stop flowing!

The one who discovered fire created a way for the civilisation to grow.
But for some, even the greatest discoverer is a pyromaniac.
So, don't let others' opinions matter.
For they are just their views not facts!

What the Christmas star has taught me is even in this vast and busy world, wonders are valued, people manage time to see wonders, even when it's after 800 years. So, no matter how long it takes, be a wonder and the universe shall eagerly wait for you.

For the first few months he was hopeless and cursing his fortune. One day his uncle entered his room. He cried aloud shouting,"Why did this happen to me? I don't think there's any reason for me to live now. I wanted to be like Michael Jackson, but now I can't even move myself." Uncle Max calmly replied, "Those who give up are born to do that, those who try are born to reach the sky". These words filled Xavier with a new spirit of confidence. For the next few years he kept himself busy making himself someone he wanted to be. It's been 30 years since that incident occurred, today he is receiving invitations from all over the world. He is not just an awesome dancer, but also a mathematical genius and a motivational speaker. In his life, he did all he wanted, but couldn't be like his idol Michael Jackson, or I can say Michael Jackson could never be like him.

Little Xavier was a determined and hardworking child. In the early ages of his life he showcased extraordinary performance in his studies. When everyone was expecting himself to be a doctor or an engineer. He said that he wanted to be a dancer. Everyone was shocked. He replied, "I like science, maths seems interesting to me, but I am passionate about dance!" His uncle, Mr. Max broke his silence and spoke, " I wonder if he is this serious about his interest, how amazing will he be in his passion." He was a wise man and so everyone agreed to let Xavier be what he wants. When he was a teenager, he lost his legs in an accident.
