Remembrance
-
šš: 12 Dec
Gazing across that vast field, and an umbrella of sunshine on me.
Willing to see the sky morphing into colours,
Or crying off the sorrow.
I'm here forever, to stay.
Pondering iris and that soft smile,
Wishing upon each tiny petal,
That you were fine.
I will once again gaze, across the mile.
Lavenders and green leaves
You were forever my light.-
By the way,
You left your heart with me.
Hope you keep it safe again
I mended that broken piece.
Maybe you lost a few,
But its okay, smile again.
Because Happiness looks good on you ā”-
Those lost letters,
Empty promises and the empty sky.
I dream of you so often, feels so real.
Waking up I wish, I could have said a goodbye.
-
If the lake could have its say,
It might reflect back the sorrow we drown.
The sky paints the perfect picture,
And there it stays still, looking above the wonders.
I wish I could give something back
For all the lament tangled in the ripples.
One drop at a time.
If the lake could have its say,
'I see everything revive and relive,
While being still, as I lay.'-
I remember,
When the moon was shining far away,
I kept a dream in my pocket.
Loving, hating.
I have come a long way.
But my pocket feels hollow,
Too cold, too new
I keep filling a shallow jar,
Hoping I see the light gleaming,
In my eyes ,
no more I see the night.
Just another path, I keep
Drifting away.-
One dime
Two dimes
I have run out of things to give.
I see the roses being torn,
Branches ablazed,
Yet I don't want to leave.
Maybe I have taken it wrong.
For all, this wheel spins without stopping.
And goes on building a path for itself.
Looking back at this memory,
I fear love, that made me lose so much.
Sometimes I give, just the thought
Of getting more
And sometimes
My plate is left empty and cold.-
Love and loss share a common ache. When you love someone, the thought of losing them causes pain.
And when you lose someone, the thought of not being able to love them the same ever again causes pain.-
Believe me,
The world looks prettier through your eyes.
Nothing is brighter than those stars,
Gleaming in your ocean of hued iris.
I can pretend to know, or play the fool.
But you are blind to your own goodness.
Believe me,
When the earth spins,
It hopes of seeing the sun around it.
Seeing you around me,
But I know, my world revolves for you.
I hope I can show you the mirror,
In those thousands of seas,
Believe me,
Love is too weak of a word for you.-
