Because forever is cliche, forever is mediocre.
And I want real even if it's for a small amount of time.

The curtains are shut tight, no sunlight for me,

My brain's running a flashback for all those nights I cried.

That's what the small post-it note said the morning dad was supposed to leave for a business meeting.

It was a month later that I discovered that he was never coming back.

Just so to hide our frowns.

But more than that,
You were my supporting pillar without whom I'd fall.

Oh and I did,

And gave me reason to stand on my own.

With love, care, patience and trust.

You lost your part of love for me and I lost my trust in you.
And now, we, who used to be
The 'best friends of the era'
As per school mates called us,
Are just two strangers on the same streets of life.
