I lose, I win, I gain
Just as even dry deserts have rain.
People may find me weird,
But that's how God designed when he was tired.
I do not bother who thinks what,
Cause I learn everyday and focus on what I have got.
I lose, I win, I gain,
I will never let myself down even if my hard work goes in vain.

Life from a few days seems to be so dull,
Feel like behaving as hard as a skull.
People around play with emotions,
Behaving immorally showing clearly in their notions.
They have such vicious smiles,
I feel snakes are less poisonous compared to these wiles.
I am done traveling with these cadres,
Yes, cadres as they are so specialised and may be the
rightful owners of snake and ladders.

A teacher is considered as a second mother,
It's not simply said but rather understood with fervor.
We give our time to children not to while away,
But for them to stand strong and find their own way.
Every year my journey with children is of different struggle,
But I make my stand strong to show them how they can juggle.
I am happy that this year, started with a twitch,
But I will make sure my children will prove to many that they are born to enrich.

My poems are my way of expressing my mind,
Sometimes it reaches the rude sometimes the kind.
Few say it seems like a direct attack,
And I say if you fit the shoe, let it smack.
People comment, compliment and criticise my work,
I take the best of each and don't let myself lurk.
People who criticize are my motivators,
Otherwise how would I even survive among these poisonous predators.
Yes my poems are my weapons in disguise,
Cause my teacher taught me words are sharper than these knives of demise.
Many around made me doubt myself,
But when I sit back and think of what my teachers taught I sprung back to oneself.
My poems are my way of expressing my mind,
As I remember my teacher encouraging me to find.

Teaching is considered the most pious,
But because of a few it seems so poisonous.
Few teachers teach life lesson,
But a few make us feel for life in every session.
Teachers who should teach words like strength, bravery and ways to defend,
Instead nowadays teach weakness, be cowardly and ways to
offend.
I being a teacher try my level best to make what was imparted
to me,
My teacher who taught me to stand for myself and to be as I have to be.
I stand in awe of my teachers who taught me
how to live,
They taught us how to make ourselves worthy enough
to give
Who were never jealous of anything around and taught us the
same,
But why do I see that few instead of being true to their job are only busy in making a name.

I feel so sorry for people who are trying to take my place,
People who do not even know the difference between a satin ribbon and a shoe lace.
I am not being arrogant, but I am being straight forward,
You can't fake love and care and always expecting a cheap reward.
I wonder why people can't follow what they say,
They want people to surround them all the way.
But they get agitated when someone's surrounded by love and fraternity, Revealing true colors, exposing their insecurities with impunity.
Oh stop these things otherwise you may face God's wrath,
Cause I heard from years, you easily slip away from God's path.
I feel so sorry for these who try to take my place,
Cause I am unique here who is living death with Gods grace.

Study study study shouted elders in vain,
Let me sleep for some more time said the students' brain.
No one understood the pressure they had,
Everyone only adviced how they struggled when they were a lad.
Children do not understand the truth,
Said elders trying them to realise their worth.
But as a student and now a teacher would like to tell you a fact,
Never ask children to study making them feel impact.
My teacher taught me the difference between studying and learning,
Which I pass on to my children, studying makes you stressed while learning makes you feel yearning.
So better learn than study,
Cause even the hardest concept by learning would seem like a buddy.

People here think status is the position they get,
But according to me, status is when you make people feel proud of you making their eyes wet.
Getting a position in an organisation or for a time period shouldn't make you proud,
But the action of yours should speak more than your words loud.
I have heard people boasting around for the things ado,
Whereas I have seen people who strive silently but still stay in the hearts for the things they do.
Status isn't what you try to show off,
But status is what makes you scoff.
So don't keep jumping around about yourself for the things assigned,
Cause here, if not you there is some one who can be aligned.
So stop being boastful about the awards on your shelves,
Instead, focus on actions that touch hearts and delve.
My agony in these lines are not a blurt,
But a pain of strife for 15years as
a teacher seeing boastful characters
of no worth.

Happiness has become ambiguous,
It cannot be found even in the dictionary of the genius.
You ask me why?
As happiness is elusive, oh so sly.
Should I be happy for what I got?
Or should I feel low that I lost my favourite lot.
Happiness has become ambiguous, as I said,
Here you either act happy or smile
with a heart made of lead.
As the happy prince was always sad,
Seeing his people in misery went mad.
That's how we all are, when alive always
searching for happiness,
And when dead, groping for eternal restlessness.

Friendship should be as deep as Earth crust
Which is entirely based on trust..
But mind you, in today's world, friendships are frail,
like the Earth's crust, deepening the tale.
People easily lie about everything around,
Be it about them or about them owning a ground.
They boast about honesty and integrity,
But actions betray, with their duplicity.
It's not about how much you own,
Everything goes in vain if you haven't grown.
Stop breaking hearts in name of fake friendship,
Or else you will be left alone on a sinking ship.
