A real patriot is a critical thinker. Asking questions about things that matter. Not buying the bullshit at face value like most people do. He sees to it that the king walk naked when the majority thought that the king was handsomely dressed.

Incurable

these midnight cravings
for unfinished poems
is a fire in the belly—

a hunger shouting
for attention
between short verses

unsatiated,
consuming,

until silence
become a thought
refusing to let go.

Muse Left the Table

poured my soul
on a bottle of ink
and tequila

but the pen cursed the paper.

so, I am typing this
on a blank screen:

the isolation and sadness
of orphaned verses.

Holding On

summer is
saying goodbye
but still clinging
on your skin
like sweat.

outside,
the sky welcomes
the monsoon rain
like tears
on your face.

but still,
your heart
wishes to remember,

how to forget.

Wired

neither calm
nor chaos
amuses us anymore

our emotional self
is in constant disconnect
with nature

our avatars
are forever seeded
in the virtual
highway

of feeds
for likes and shares
stickers and emojis

sans touches,
sans feeling,

sans warmth.

Urban Flow

carmageddon stills—

the manic rush
at seven
in the morning.

Veiled

you see
a black sky

I see
emptiness unravel

God.

The Fallen

"know that
the sky is not for you
to conquer

but home to explore."

each time you
write a poem

you give birth
to a universe—

skyful of stars
with infinite wishes,

planet of thoughts
circled by emotions,

sun and moon
chasing swirling tides

in an ocean
of your name.

Word Play

your words
caged me

a life sentence
of semantics

literally.
