आज लहराते हुए तिरंगे को देखकर लगा कि सचमुच देश आज़ाद है, हम आज़ाद हैं,

लेकिन तभी जंज़ीरों में बंधे लोकतंत्र की चीख सुनाई दी - हे राम!

तिरंगा फिर भी लहरा रहा था और हमारे देश के महान नेता मिठाइयां बांट रहे थे।

मज़दूरों का घर लौट जाना उनका हारना नहीं है,
मज़दूर हारते नहीं,
ये हार उस व्यवस्था की हार है,
जो सपनों को बेचकर इमारतें खड़ी करती है,
जो इंसान को इंसान से दूर करती है,
और जो राजनीति को भगवान बनाती है।

इस इंसानी त्रासदी के लिए इंसान ही जिम्मेदार है,
कोरोना तो अर्द्धजीवित चीज़ है।

फिर एक शुरुआत नई होगी,
फिर एक आसमान नया होगा,
फिर से बहारें लौटेंगी,
फिर से सपने दौड़ेंगे,

हर अंधकार के बाद रोशनी रंग लाती है,
पर सही है कि शमा बदला-बदला सा होगा,
बदलना ज़रूरी होता है।

Wo apni aankhon se hi sab kuch kehta tha,
Baagi tha, phir bhi sabko saath lekar chalta tha,
Kahaniyan sunana jiska jazba tha,
Wo aaj apni hi kahaani likhkar chala gaya,
Aisi kahaani jo sabse juda, sabse alag thi, par phir bhi jaise sabki thi.

In New Delhi, people are afraid to breathe the air they were once so grateful for.

The world is frightened and locked up.

Suddenly, our lives seem so fragile and insecure.

I wish we saw this coming, before our arrogance got the better of us.

Corona virus is a lesson for humanity, a lesson we must never forget.

We are creatures of uncertainty and we must strive for peace.

Let's give up on our prejudices, our greed, and our propensity for conflict and embrace togetherness and the common good.

जब वास्तविकता ढह रही हो
मौत जैसे सन्नाटे में समाते हुए
जब सब कुछ चक्रव्यूह सा लगे
घरों पर बैठे लोग हो सहमे हुए
सड़कें सुनसान हो
तब ज़रूरी होता है चुपचाप से बैठ जाना
और याद करना उस पहले आदिमानव को
जिसने धीरे-धीरे चलना शुरू किया होगा।

सब कुछ खत्म हो जाएगा
जीवन, मृत्यु, सब कुछ
आकाशगंगाओं की अनंत धारा में
बचेगा केवल सन्नाटा
और यादें, या शायद यादें भी नही बचेंगी
सत्य बस यही है

आज जीवन की ओर लौट आओ
कल केवल सत्य बचेगा
जैसा कि चार्वाक ने कहा था।

Humans: Aaj mere paas paisa hai, power hai, technology hai, tumhare paas kya hai?

Nature: Mere paas "corona" hai!

Covid-19 has taught us that man is not invincible. We can fight it, but we must never be complacent. If our species has to survive, we have to stay together. Nature doesn't always give a second chance.
