की फिर कैसे होगी पहचान कौन संबल कौन दुर्बल,
की फिर कैसे अहंकार की भूख की भरपाई होगी।
तुम हंसों, गाओ, रोओ, ये सब मज़ूर हमें,
पर रहे पर्दा सदा, मर्यादा का ये रहे भान तुम्हें।
सुख सम्भोग का मिलता रहे, घर ये यूंही चलता रहे,
औरत हो तुम, दबी कुचली हंसी में ये बात तुमको ज्ञात रहे।

if we could witness everything around other than us alone

And how could we be so rude and hateful to ourselves.
When we not know what we are and who we are,
For we might not associate ourselves with all the invisible, meaningless chords we find around,

Maybe we'll float like a butterfly, or swim like a swan,
Not knowing our true selves, we may drift, we may fly, we may sink, we may drown.
Is that not what it is all about, to die in your own skin, to live your own life.

फिर देखता खुद को, की जी जाऊं की बस रह जाऊं।
पर है कहां ये जवाब, की जो उठ रहे सैलाब ये जो।
की मैं बह जाऊं या ठहर जाऊं....

हम सब जो हैं, हैं बड़ी कुत्ती चीज हैं,
सबको दिखाते कुछ, पर अंदर से कुछ और हैं।
ये वक्त ने सबको ऐसा बना दिया, ये नही मुनासिब दलील भला,
हम हैं अच्छे या बुरे ये अपने हाथों की लकीरों पर हमने खुद लिखा।
और फिर जुर्रत जो हमारी, अपने हालातों पर खुदको कोसते हैं,
जब हैं अपने बूते काबिलियत तो फिर काहे दुनिया से पूछते हैं।

Why 'Laapta Ladies' is very special!

I watched this movie and like many others I am in the hangover of it.
Such a simplistic approach to this giant problem in our society needs to be applauded.
As a man, I need to acknowledge that women even after being such a pivotal element of our environment are yet to be given their due credit. Them being the essence of our existence still trying to find their respectable place in this world is a defeat of masculinity overall.
Coming back to this movie, I am elated that in times where everything is about chest-thumping this movie comes in and very silently delivers its intended message and how beautifully it does that.
Each and every person associated with this project has to be appreciated for the role they played in bringing out this masterpiece.
I just hope each and every one of us especially the males of society witness this and ask themselves if they are the 'Pradeep' or the 'Deepak' to the women around them.
I hope as men the least we could do is to let women be themselves around us.
I believe this is what the intention of the malers as well would have been.

ये नक़ाब होशियारी के,
हटा कर इसे, कुछ पल नासमझ बने,
भागती दौड़ती इस ज़िन्दगी में,
इक चाय के बहाने हम तुम मिले।— % &

ज़िन्दगी को रेडिओ बनाने की कोशिश में हूं,
फरमाइशें सुनता सबकी,चलाता अपने मन की हूं।
