चार बजे थे सुबह के,
जब इश्क़ हुआ था
सब सोए थे,
हम जग रहे थे उस वक़्त
कोहरा था,
धुंधली - धुंधली सी रोशनी थी
कमरे की दोनों बत्तियां
आंखे मल मल के जल रही थी..

नींद में तुम जब कंधे से फिसल के
बाहों में भरने लगी थी
मैंने अपने होंठ
तुम्हारे कान पे रखके फूंका था
"इश्क़ करती हो हमसे..!"
नींद में भी तुम थोड़ा सा मुस्काई थी

वक़्त इबादत का था वो,
सच कहने की बेला थी
चार बजे के आसपास का वक़्त था वो
एक सुबह जब इश्क़ हुआ था !!

शहर के शहर बंद है,
हर गली में नाकाबंदी है..
तुम पता नहीं किन रास्तों से..?
चली आती हो ख्यालों में..!!

फिलहाल तो यूँ है की कुछ कर नही सकते
तेरे बिन ही मरना होगा, साथ मर नही सकते
सूखे से पत्ते है एक टहनी पे लगे, किस्मत तो देखो की झड़ नही सकते
फिलहाल तो यूँ है की कुछ कर नही सकते।।

चलो इस दिवाली कुछ नई शुरुआत करते है
रामजी के स्वागत में
उन्ही की नगरी अयोध्या का पुनः निर्माण करते है
पकवानों में मिठास तो हर साल डालते ही थे
पर इस बार रामजी के स्वागत में
मिठास के साथ भाईचारा भी घोल देते है
लक्ष्मी पूजा हर्सोल्लास के साथ तो करते ही थे
पर इस बार रामजी के स्वागत में
अपनी घर की लक्ष्मी के सम्मान का पाठ भी जोड़ देते है
तरह-तरह के रंगों से घर के आंगन को तो सजाते ही थे
पर इस बार रामजी के स्वागत में
देश प्रेम का रंग जोड़ कर आंगन की शोभा बढ़ाते है
दीपक से तो घरों में उजाला हर साल होता ही था
पर इस बार रामजी के स्वागत में
शिक्षा के दीपक से किसी की ज़िन्दगी में उजाला करते है
पटाखे फोड़ कर खुशिया तो हर साल मनाते ही थे
पर इस बार रामजी के स्वागत में
भ्रष्टाचार का पटाखा फोड़ दिवाली मनाते है
चलो इस दिवाली कुछ नई शुरुआत करते है
रामजी के स्वागत में
उन्ही की नगरी अयोध्या का पुनः निर्माण करते है।
