Caught in a rainstorm ,
Frozen and forlorn ,
That was when I heard a car's horn-
Behind the wheels was a man , radiating a lot of charm .

Inside , the car was warm and cozy ,
His eyes and voice driving me crazy .

I've never been a believer of love at first sight
But now , the feeling felt so right !!

At last ,when he dropped me at my gate ,
I wish he had asked for a date .
Alas , he had already left in a haste.

I know I'm being stupid ,
But I really wish , rain had played cupid !!

Where joys were double

And then time played villain
Forcing me out of oblivion -
Introducing me to gender , caste and religion
Only to become a victim of endless judgements and discrimination.

Stepping out of my home ,
I realised there can never be a warm welcome (Outside).
With growing rude attitude
And almost no place for gratitude
With selfishness wearing the coat of selflessness ,
With evil under the mask of good(ness),
The world is full of mistakes
Engulfed in being fake
With humanity at stake .

Dear fate ,
Will I be 'the' change ?
Or would I also change ?
Or will I be an anomaly forever chained inside the cage ??
