जब एक वादा टुट जाता है,
अंतरमन को अनगिनत करारी चोट देता है,
हालात पूर्णतय तबदील हो जाते हैं,
ना ही सजने सवरने का दिल करता है।

वादा एक अनमोल आभूषण है,
विशवास, प्रेम ओर लगाव कि तरह हैं,
कुछ भी स्थिर नहीं रह जाता इसके टुटने पर,
सब कुछ बिखर कर मात्र एक कालकोठरी की सजा बन जाता है,

किसी को दिया वचन भंग करना बड़ा ही आसान है,
परंतु उसे बनाए रखना उतना ही मुश्किल है,
पूर्वसंकेत प्राप्त नहीं कर पाता वह बिखरा हुआ इंसान,
ना ही लगा पाता किसी योजना का अनुमान।

अतः एक बार वादा टुट जाने पर,
वह उन दर्द भरे जख़्मो को नहीं भर पाता।
